Benign Solicitation

  • Treat everyone with respect. This is a community event and everyone is volunteering their time to make this a success.
  • All communications are for the family unit. Mr and Mrs and children are together for all intents and purposes.
  • Everyone is a volunteer; there are no leaders or positions. All of us are in this together. We succeed or fail together.
  • This is a community event. There are no individual invitations to get involved. If you want to volunteer, please contact the advisory boards/volunteer groups and they will direct you accordingly.
  • This is not an arrangement where decisions must be taken by EVERYONEs consensus. This will NOT be a perfect arrangement for everyone as there are limitations under which this is being organized.
  • While ideas to make the event better are welcome, complaints without actual ownership of the solution is not.
  • It is expected that there will be another group of folks that will drive the celebrations next year. If you are unhappy with something, please make sure you have ownership and drive the same next year.
  • There will be no public communications to news media etc. other than the what is put out by the website and communication teams. Please do not do so without consent from the advisory boards.
  • This is a large gathering of families; please be cognizant of the fact and make sure we and the folks we bring behave appropriately. And please be responsible of your young children!
  • While this is a fun event with a lot of longing and nostalgia associated with it, the safety of our families remains our unwavering focus. Unruly or unsafe behavior may result in your being asked to leave the premises.
